Blinded by the Confusion

So...I'm not the only one puzzled, perplexed, and just plain thinking 'huh?' when it comes to the lyrics to "Blinded by the Light".

I've actually said to Matt, "If I ever meet Bruce Springsteen, the only thing I'm going to say is 'please explain the meaning of that song'!"
