Menu For Hope II: The Final Tally

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to Menu for Hope II; I'm happy to report that our final total was $21,861.32!!!!

That's over Twenty-thousand dollars going directly to those in North India and Pakistan who were devestated by the earthquake.

Thank you, everyone...who donated!

And Merry Christmas!!!

I'm very proud to join other food bloggers in raising both awareness and money for the earthquake victims of Northern India and Pakistan, by taking part in Menu for Hope II.

I'm pleased to offer two different prizes for the event; one very popular, and the other very homespun!

For just a five dollar donation, you could win Giada De Laurentiis' book, Everyday Italian: 125 Simple and Delicious Recipes (brand-new), or a jar of home-made rhubarb strawberry jelly (sorry, didn't get time to post a photo yet!).

For every donation you make, you have a chance to win these and a number of other prizes.

Please donate what you can; I know bloggers are a generous group!

All money being raised will go directly to Unicef, though JustGiving. That means no food blogger is stuck with collecting and distributing your donations...it's all in the hands of the professionals!!

And it's easy to help out: Simply visit this site to donate. If you'd like to enter the raffle, leave a comment with your donation, stating which prize (or prizes, depending on your donation), you'd be interested in winning.

If you'd really like Giada's book (and it's pretty darn good), and decide to donate $20.00, you could specify four chances for Everyday Italian. Or, two chances for the book, and two for the very yummy jelly!

I know you'll do what you can to help our friends in Northern India and Pakistan...because bloggers are just good people.

You can make donations through 23 December; winners will be announced 1 January by Menu for Hope II's organizer, Chez Pim.

If you have any questions about the prizes, please let me know...and I can't wait to send a package off to some lucky (and generous) blogger!
