One Little Soul at Peace...Finally

Wow...this is incredible.

For years, I've been watching shows like A&E's Cold Case Files, and Court TV's Forensic Files (and in my opinion, A&E is the best). I've seen a lot of cases solved.

But occasionally, Cold Case Files will showcase an as-yet unsolved case, with hopes someone in the audience can provide some information.

One I've seen many times was the case of Precious Doe.

Precious Doe was a little black girl who's body was found in Kansas City, MO four years ago. Her head, in a trash bag, was found not long after.

The community rallied around this lost little girl. Investigators did everything they could to solve this case, including exhuming Precious Doe's remains to create a rendering of her face; but it remained unsolved.

One question that kept coming up: How can someone not notice a little girl is missing?

Well, finally, the case has been solved.

Precious Doe has a name: Erica Michelle Maria Green.

Her grandfather responded to an ad in the newspaper. He provided information, as well as photos of the little girl, whom he hadn't seen in years.

Her mother has been arrested, and confessed to be involved in the child's death.

I'm sure there's more to come, but for now?

Rest in peace, sweet girl.
