Have you heard that the Tigers hired Jim Leyland and that he's hiring all manner of former Bucs coaches? If the Tigers pull out of the basement next season, we'll know it's an ownership problem, not a management one.
I did know that, actually...the Pirates were hoping to bring him back! But, Detroit had already offered him something. Oh, well...I grew up with Leyland as manager, and they were decent years. I hope he does well for the Tigers; he's a good manager, and a good man. He's much loved in the Burgh!
